Add in that provider using the exact URL shown, then approve a working folder and choose the tools you want to enable. 6. Gemini users can optionally install the bundled skill: save its ZIP, open Gemini → , upload it and choose . SKILL.md is included in the installer and source; the ZIP is also on Releases. OneCode

A desktop workspace for AI providers and local tools on Windows and Linux. Work with files, run commands, use MCP plugins and local skills, and keep chats and projects together.

Fresh installs use the complete Windows/Linux artifacts linked above. Compatible existing Stable installations use verified application capsules while retaining their matching native base. Capsule manifests and published base descriptors determine compatibility; a newer app version alone does not require a new full installer.

The current release supports Windows x64 and Linux x64, with ChatGPT web, Gemini web and Claude web through one Companion extension.

Already installed? Open Settings → General → Check for updates → Install when done. Compatible Windows, Linux AppImage and positively identified DEB installations can activate a verified application capsule without replacing the immutable native base. Full DEB/native changes remain package-manager-owned. Your profile and saved chats are preserved.

What’s new in 0.8.9

Put an existing native file/folder path on its own line with your task, or quote it in a direct Read/Scan request. OneCode approves that exact path before preparing the message. Files stay scoped to that file; folders include their contents.
Keep current capability settings and earlier virtual aliases. Attached contents, generated plan stages and repeated delivery of an old message cannot grant new access.
Open recorded ChatGPT file links from Remote in their ChatGPT chat on the phone for native download, with a Safari popup fallback. This opens the native source; it does not transfer provider-private files through OneCode.
Open normal web links separately and hide leaked inline provider reference markers.

What’s new in 0.8.8

Upload Claude PDFs/files through the exact native uploader belonging to the current composer, including fresh chats.
Keep the unsent prompt and any staged file/error when an upload cannot be confirmed. Uncertain uploads and messages are never automatically repeated.
Install directly from complete Windows/Linux packages, or use a compatible cumulative capsule through the internal updater.
