Examples
Four rules the sub-skills share
- Never fabricate. Every experience, number, and title comes from what the user actually said. Sharpen weak content, don’t invent it. Verify numbers.
- Ask only what changes the answer. Follow each child skill’s stated one-at-a-time or batched intake cadence; never turn the conversation into a sprawling questionnaire.
- Structure first, render second. Get the content into a standard shape and confirm it before generating anything.
- Never apply on the user’s behalf. Search can be automated; submitting forms and sending messages remain user actions.
Install
Copy the whole offer-toolkit-skill/ folder into your client’s supported skills directory, preserving the top-level SKILL.md and all six sub-skill folders. The top-level skill routes requests to the relevant workflow.
For Claude Code, a user-level installation can look like this:
~/.claude/skills/offer-toolkit-skill/
├── SKILL.md
├── job-hunt-skill/
├── job-description-skill/
├── resume-skill/
├── bq-skill/
├── offer-compare-skill/
└── salary-negotiation-skill/
Only want one? Copy just that sub-folder into your skills directory — each one is self-contained. For example, install Resume Skill as ~/.claude/skills/resume-skill/, keeping its SKILL.md and supporting files together.
Other clients: use the skills location documented by your client. Nested skill discovery varies; installing the toolkit does not necessarily register all six child skills separately. To make a child skill directly discoverable, install its folder as a standalone skill. Start a new chat or reload your agent after installation, then try an explicit prompt such as “Use offer-toolkit-skill to help me prepare for an interview.”
🔒 Your generated files stay local. Reports, resumes, and story banks are written to your machine. Your prompts and attachments are processed according to the data policy of the agent and model provider you use.
Try it in 30 seconds
Once installed, copy any prompt into your Claude Code / VS Code chat:
Should I apply to this? I'll paste the JD link or full text next.
Use this JD and my resume to find matching LinkedIn jobs.
Beautify my resume. I'll attach the PDF next.
Prep me for behavioral interviews.
Compare these two offers and tell me which one to take.
Help me negotiate this offer.
The router picks the right sub-skill. You get a local HTML report, resume, or story bank, plus the exact path where it was saved.
