Focused on supporting WeChat 4.1.9 (build 268596 / 268602). The tool uses independent login copy of 4.1.9, logs in independently, saves chat data independently, and turns off auto-updates; Your main WeChat account is used and upgraded as usual, chat data remains unchanged. Other versions retain historical implementation and no longer commit to continuous adaptation.

Command Name: The main command is wechat-use; After installation, wechat is an equivalent alias (wechat-use send … ≡ wechat send …), so old scripts do not need to be changed.

Image reading

When reading history or searching, CLI, MCP, HTTP, and Wechaty share precise message image retrieval. MCP will directly attach available images, while other entry points provide decrypted local images or image references, so you don’t need to click on images in WeChat first. Original image payload is checked by message XML full MD5; WXGF original bytes are kept separately from display using PNG/JPEG. When fragmentation is incomplete, text and image references are retained with clear prompts; Some history is not treated as full reception, nor is unknown downloads retested.
