Two audiences, one engine, one app:
- Human operators — a keyboard-first, high-density, Bloomberg-style streaming
web terminal in two switchable skins: the virtualized 10,000-row tape
- command palette, and the classic quad-pane tiling terminal (firehose · clusters · reader · sources) — flip between them like a theme, persisted in the browser.
- Autonomous AI agents — a native MCP server, a stable OpenAPI 3.1 REST surface, and token-optimized WebSocket / SSE firehoses with server-side filtering. Zero HTML overhead, ~85% token reduction in compact mode.
Zero-key boot: docker compose up starts streaming live global news
immediately. 105 pre-configured sources — wires, SEC EDGAR, central banks,
prediction markets, ArXiv, Hacker News, CVE/KEV feeds, cloud status pages, Reddit,
Bluesky firehose, keyless Telegram web preview — all no-API-key. Optional
OpenAI / Anthropic / Ollama / any-OpenAI-compatible keys add LLM headline
refinement on top of the always-on local heuristic NLP pipeline.
One backend, one app, two terminal skins (this repo merges two OmniPulse generations — the engines are merged into one, and both terminal UIs live in the same frontend, switchable like a theme):
