This MCP server enables AI assistants to interact with Microsoft Access databases through a complete toolset spanning:

Tables, fields & schema - Full DDL: create/alter/rename/drop tables and fields, indexes, calculated fields, multi-value fields

Architecture

The solution consists of two components:

MS.Access.MCP.Interop - A .NET 8.0 interop library providing COM/DAO late-binding access to Microsoft Access. Handles exclusive mode, dialog dismissal, process lifecycle, and OleDb connectivity.
MS.Access.MCP.Official - A self-contained MCP server implementing the JSON-RPC stdio transport. Supports MCP protocol versions 2024-11-05 and 2025-11-25 with full capability negotiation (tools, resources, prompts, logging, completions).
